Meet Dr. Krowiak

Dr. Edward Krowiak was born and raised on the south side of Chicago. He received his bachelor's degree at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD and went on to complete his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago.

Dr. Krowiak completed both his internship and two residencies at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He completed a General Surgery residency in 1995, and a residency in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in 1999. Dr. Krowiak was named Administrative Chief Resident of the Department of Otolaryngology-HNS at Georgetown University.

Dr. Krowiak married an Indiana native and moved to Indianapolis in 2003, joining the Center for Ear, Nose, Throat and Allergy

Dr. Krowiak's main areas of specialty include voice, thyroid/parathyroid, and head and neck. "We diagnose as well as treat a wide range of problems. Our practice provides the opportunity to treat all ages of patients with a range of illnesses, from straightforward ear infections to complicated cancer surgeries."

Dr. Krowiak and Dr. Huntley were the first private practice doctors in the country trained on da Vinci Robotic Head & Neck Cancer Surgery in 2009, and CENTA remains the most experienced da Vinci Robotic surgeons in Indiana.

It has been Dr. Krowiak's honor to be the recipient of several distinguished awards, including the William Trible, MD Otolaryngology Teaching Award in June 2000 and 2001, the Roy B. Sessions, MD Exemplary Otolaryngology Resident Award in June 1999, and the Georgetown University Hospital Department of Otolaryngology Teacher of the Year Award in 2003.

Dr. Krowiak devotes his free time to his family, wife Suzanne and sons.  He is also an enthusiastic cyclist and music lover, Dr. Krowiak tries to attend as many concerts as time allows.
